Xiaomi may be looking to enter the “action camera” market currently dominated by GoPro.
According to this story at GizChina, the fast-growing handset maker may join HTC and launch such device in the near future. This entire market, the story goes, is described as ripe for the picking and in that sense, we may see other vendors joining in, as well.
It is said that Xiaomi is teaming up with Shanghai-based Ant Technology to have its action camera in stores by the end of this year.
No details are known yet but knowing Xiaomi, we expect to get an affordable product with great specs and amazing value for money. Beyond phones, the so called “Apple of China” has shown us a $12 fitness band and that low-cost wireless blood pressure monitor.
