Brief: Spotify for Symbian gets an update, now supports offline caching and social networks

Spotify for Symbian just received an update today. If you’re a Symbian user, and a Spotify Premium subscriber, you’ll want to check this out. Since I’m neither I can’t really review this application, which breaks my heart. I’ve made my issues with Spotify public in the past. I’ve got 2 credit cards, each with plenty of funds, yet Spotify takes neither of them. I want to support the service, but they don’t take my money.

It’s madness I tell you.

Anyway, the new version, it supports downloading tracks to your mobile phone, useful if you’re in a country that doesn’t have coverage on subways, or live somewhere that has horrible data plans and you’d rather just grab stuff via WiFi and listen to it that way.

How do you get it? Bust out your mobile phone and point it to http://m.spotify.com/
