BlackBerry OS Releases and Leaks

Every Saturday (or maybe Friday 🙂 ) here at IntoMobile, I’m going to make a point of updating BlackBerry users with a roundup of the latest BlackBerry OS leaks and official updates. Instead of posting every once and awhile with a leak here, and an official update there, I figure it may be more helpful to YOU, the BlackBerry user to check-in once a week for all of the weekly operating system action, in one place. Hey, maybe I’m wrong, but lets give this a shot, right?

This week there has been quite a bit of movement, with updates ranging from leaks for the Pearl 3G to an official update via Verizon for the BlackBerry Bold 9650. All the goodness is below, be sure to check it out for yourself to see if your device is included.

Leaked: OS 5.0.0.732 for the BlackBerry Bold 9650 >

Coming Soon: OS 5.0.0.732 for the BlackBerry Bold 9650 (via Verizon)

Official: OS 5.0.0.732 for the BlackBerry Bold 9650 via Verizon (this one is now available for OTA upgrade, and via Desktop Manager. The download link is not available on the Verizon website just yet!)

Leaked: OS 5.0.0.748 for the BlackBerry Pearl 3G >

Leaked: OS 5.0.0.722 for the BlackBerry Curve 8530 >

Official: OS 5.0.0.386 for the BlackBerry Curve 8530 via TELUS >

That’s it for today. If your Berry wasn’t mentioned here, no worries. Chances are I’ll have much more goodness for you next week… and remember, if you do go ahead and update, be sure to backup your device and take all necessary precautions before you proceed.

Note to all: if you’ve made it this far, chances are you’re a die-hard Berry user. If you’re getting into World Cup South Africa 2010, take a few minutes to check out this free app for your Berry. It’s great for keeping you up-to-date with the latest World Cup scoring, news, stats, and a heck of a lot more.

Enjoy your weekend, folks!
