Orange UK has developed a mobile phone visor to block out sunlight so 2010 FIFA World Cup games can be enjoyed while sunbathing on the beach or in the park. The France Telecom-owned operator has actually produced a limited run of these products, but it has also provided the mobile phone visor template at Orange.co.uk so other folks (those who didn’t get one of the few visors developed) can make one for themselves.
In the same press release, Orange is also talking about a World Cup-related research, it has conducted. Unsurprisingly, nearly half the population (43%) would let nothing get in the way of watching England World Cup games. Brits are so into the world cup that a third of them (33%) would rather see England win World Cup glory compared with 11% who would prefer to meet the love of their life while just 6% would prefer to see Britain pull itself out of the recession. It’s hilarious! 🙂
Finally, the press release ends with Orange talking about its ITV1 mobile TV service, which could be added to any plan for 5 GBP a month. In addition, the carrier suggests its users to download the free Orange World Cup Live app from where they [users] can access live commentaries, scores, team news, fixtures, match results and more.
