RealNetworks-owned GameHouse and Fox Digital Entertainment announced the release of The A-Team mobile game, available now for purchase on major North American mobile carrier portals. I’m guessing they talk about a Jave ME version of the game that works on majority of handsets. Separately, the iPhone game is also mentioned that obviously looks much better, while rocking five additional levels of combat.
The A-Team mobile game sees players joining former Special Forces commandos Hannibal, B.A., Face and Murdock on an “explosive action prequel” to the Twentieth Century Fox film, which debuted in theaters past weekend.
There are 15 levels to play around (plus additional 5 for the iPhone/iPod Touch version), spurred across different environments, including desert, jungle and mercenary stronghold. You can mobilize the entire A-Team or use each team member’s unique abilities to ambush enemies, attacking them head-on with hand-to-hand combat, automatic weapons, fragmentation grenades and helicopter-launched missiles.
If you don’t know the The A-Team movie plot, you should know it follows the daring exploits of a team of former Special Forces soldiers who were set up for a crime they did not commit. Going “rogue,” they utilize their unique talents to try to clear their names and find the true culprit.
If you own a Java ME-capable device, simply search for “a-team” in your carrier’s deck. iPhone users can grab the game from a link below.
