Motorola Droid X Live Wallpaper caught on video

There’s more Droid 2 and Droid X news these days than even the media darling iPhone 4 can muster, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down, for better or for worse. So here’s just a little more Droid-related goodies for you to keep salivating over – the exclusive live wallpaper that will come with the devices has been leaked. It’s the Droid eye. Shocker.

This is a classic example of Verizon’s take on Android, they seem to love the Android red-eye. We can’t blame them either, as the live wallpaper below looks pretty damn cool. On the other hand, the live wallpaper alone is certainly not enough to want to go out and buy the device.

We already know what to love about the upcoming Motorola devices, and the wallpaper is just a nice addition. Live wallpapers are great and all, but have no real purpose, besides maybe draining battery life a little more quickly. Adding a customized live wallpaper to your handset can help set the device apart, but it probably won’t take too long before we see it leaked on to other devices.

What do you think about the live wallpaper? Do you dig the Droid eye, or do you think it’s time for Verizon to come up with something new?

Video below.
