Just a quickie here for anyone that uses the PayPal app for BlackBerry. Looks like the app has been updated to version 1.1.1.301. The release notes detail the update as addressing ‘minor bug fixes’, so if you do go ahead and install, be sure to let us know if you notice anything weird and/or wonderful. I kind of doubt you will, but then again, you never know.
If you’ve never heard of or tried PayPal for BlackBerry before, here’s the official description for ya:
Send money to your friends and family, anytime, anywhere in the world. It’s fast, easy, and secure.
Just log in, enter the amount and the recipient’s phone number or email address, and the rest is a snap. You can even send money in 23 different currencies. And to make it easier, you can choose to send money with PayPal directly from your contact list.
The PayPal app for BlackBerry has been one of my favorite apps, in terms of working perfectly out-of-the-box, with little need for updates and tweaking. The updates I’ve taken on in the past with this one have been so ‘bug’ related, I honestly haven’t noticed much of a difference since in the quality and performance of the app since day 1. My hat is clearly *tipped* to the folks at PayPal for a solid and enjoyable PayPal experience from the BlackBerry.
For more information you can check out PayPal for BlackBerry in App World. As of right now the App World page does list .309 as the current version. Don’t be fooled. After download, you should have .301 on-board.
