Not so long ago we mentioned that TELUS announced the Nokia E72. From what we know thus far, the device is slated for a July 11th release, but we’ll wait to see for ourselves. These rumored launch dates sometimes have a way of changing on us.
We’ve also heard some new pricing information. At first, we heard that the E72 would be going for around $70 on a 3-year term. Since then, we’ve been hit up with some new pricing details via the good folks at MobileSyrup. They’re reporting that the TELUS Nokia E72 will hit us at $99.99 on a 3-year term, and $349.99 off-contract. $100 is a fair price for the device I’d say… although, I sure was hoping for a lower price point. With iPhone 4 on the cusp of hitting Canada hard this summer, other devices are going to have a tougher time getting off the shelf. Lower prices can only help. That’s just my two cents.
True, I’m not quite sure why TELUS has taken so long to launch this bad-boy (the Nokia E72 launched way back in June 2009), but hey, it’s finally coming. If you’ve still got your hands on the TELUS Nokia E71, an update to the E72 may be on your calendar. Of course, the iPhone 4 may be on your calendar as well… I can’t read your mind.
Stay tuned for more information on the TELUS Nokia E72 as that rumored July 11th launch date approaches.
