We’ve already talked about the Samsung A130 roughly 10 days ago. Now it’s officially announced in South Korea and honestly we doubt this baby will ever be exported to other markets.
As you may know from our previous post, we’re talking about a clamshell-shaped handset with features that include WiFi and 3G connectivity, 2-megapixel camera, 2.4-inch QVGA display, Bluetooth and a microSD memory card slot. Additionally, it comes with a number of pre-installed apps like e-dictionary, web browser, media player, SOS function, and there’s also a high-capacity phonebook that can hold up to 3,000 contacts.
The A130’s key selling point is that it’s the Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) device, which allows users to make cheaper phone calls via WiFi when in a hotspot. There’s a dedicated button that connects you to a WiFi network, making this process as seamless as possible.
Two of the leading Korea’s operators, SKT and KT, will offer the A130 (SHW-A130S and SHW-A130K, respectively) for 455,400 won, which is about $373…
