Orange iPhone 4 Launch Will Be One Totally Sexist Party

Orange at Globus will be launching the iPhone 4 in just a few days, but it will be taking a different approach, especially with the ladies, to its shindig in honor of Apple’s latest handset. Now, I’m all about certain rules and etiquette and exceptions when it comes to lounges and night clubs; usually, that means ladies get special treatment. Whether it’s no cover charge before a certain time or drinks on the house, it’s nothing we haven’t seen before when hitting the town on the weekends. But an iPhone 4 launch? Give me a break, Orange!

Apparently, the European carrier will be turning its iPhone 4 launch into some kind of trendy event where it will be a ladies-first type of deal. Where does that leave the geeky Apple men? Sorry, fellas, you’ll only be able to enter if you are accompanied by a lady. (Insert lonely, virgin geek jokes here.)

On the bright side, Orange will be serving breakfast and giving away gifts while you wait in line! It sure beats the free bottled water we typically see during iPhone launches at Apple stores in the U.S. I’m just not sure if the coffee and croissants are for the ladies only, so dudes, bring your own Zopf and marmalade, just in case.

Orange says, “All this pampering will set you up for the day, providing a great start for your first day with your new iPhone.” If nothing else, the royal treatment will prepare those users for some fickle reception and potential antenna issues. Either way, the Swiss are going to have one nice and comfy iPhone 4 launch, and if the dudes can’t get in, perhaps they can just sit around and ogle the ladies and their new iDevices in envy. It doesn’t seem all that fair, but I’m sure Orange assumes that the gentlemen won’t mind.
