German adidas is obviously serious when it comes to reaching the smartphone users. The company already has few apps on the market, including adidas Urban Art Guide to Berlin for iPhone, and now they’re going one step forward. The idea is simple – to bring adidas miCoach, the personal and real-time audible training system, to the “smartphone realm.”
Initially available for the iPhone and BlackBerry, the new application features six specific conditioning programs for basketball, football, running, soccer, and tennis as well as an additional program for staying fit. Using GPS, miCoach tracks your location to provide you with best real-time pace-based coaching.
There are pace triggered voice coaching, personalized and sports-specific training plans, workout calendar and workout feedback. Results of your workout are synced automatically with the miCoach website, from where you can monitor, manage and analyze progress over time.
Finally, along with the mobile app launch, adidas unveiled its new global campaign -“miCoach says,” to celebrate coaching and the pre-season conditioning program of some of the world’s best athletes including Andy Murray, Reggie Bush, Derek Rose and Jessica Ennis…
