CitySourced Mobile App Now Available on Android, BlackBerry and iPhone

Ever hear of CitySourced? No? Well, we received a note from the good developers over there just a little while ago… informing us about the new availability of an Android and BlackBerry flavor of their mobile app. Woohoo! Before I touch on that, here’s a quick overview of what CitySourced has to offer.

CitySourced is a real time ‘civic management platform’. If you come across any public safety, environmental or any other issue you believe your local government should be aware of… you can turn to City Sourced to help ‘get the wheels in motion’ and report the issue to the proper authorities. Below is the official description:

CitySourced is a real time mobile civic engagement platform. CitySourced provides a free, simple, and intuitive platform empowering residents to identify civic issues (public safety, quality of life, & environmental issues, etc.) and report them to city hall for quick resolution; an opportunity for government to use technology to save time and money plus improve accountability to those they govern; and a positive, collaborative platform for real action. A picture tells a thousand works and CitySourced makes it snap.

As I mentioned earlier, the CitySourced mobile app is available on Android (Droid, Nexus One and Dream), the BlackBerry Curve, Tour, Bold and Storm series, AND of course, the iPhone. The Android and BlackBerry versions were JUST released, and are brand-spanking new.

So, if you’d like to get started, you can signup at CitySourced.com (no worries, it’s free)… and you can grab the appropriate mobile app for your device of choice via the download link below.

Note: I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the app and website work with US locations only. Hopefully this service takes off, and they expand. I could really see this coming in handy! Be sure to let us know what you think of the app if you download and install!
