Orange UK wants to cash in on the touchscreen craze, hence they’ve launched two such (touchscreen-equipped) devices for those folks who like the whole “touch idea” but don’t want to spend a small fortune on their handset.
The first device is called Samsung Libre C3300 and it’s basically the Samsung Champ. Specs include a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 1.3-megapixel camera, accelerometer (for auto-rotate), Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, microSD memory card slot, while Samsung’s TouchWIZ UI is running the show allowing users to quickly access key phone features as well as popular social networks.
The other device is the Orange Amsterdam and it’s another re-named phone – Alcatel One Touch Xtra. This one also comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA screen but includes a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard making it ideal for heavy texters or those folks who like to chat with their buddies while on the go.
Both devices are available for 49 GBP for PAYG (Pay As You Go) customers, requiring no long-term contracts signed…
