India’s Reliance Communications (RCOM) and Nokia are teaming up to promote the Finnish company’s mobile services, including Ovi Life Tools and Ovi Music.

As part of the deal, RCOM will offer rural and semi-urban segments of their users Ovi Life Tools, which is a range of services covering agriculture, education and entertainment. Reliance will offer these services in two versions, subscription-based and pay per Use. The subscription service for education and entertainment services will be offered at Rs.30/month, while the agriculture service at Rs.60/month. The pay-per-Use will be priced at Rs.3/request.

In terms of collaboration around Ovi Music, RCOM will sell Nokia’s Ovi Music Unlimited devices that allow users to download as many songs as they can on their phone or PC for 12 months. After the period ends, they are free to keep their tunes.

Finally, there will be a special plan for Nokia handset buyers, offering them 1.2 GB of mobile data with a purchase. Moreover, Nokia 1800 will be sold with its own plan that comes with 1800 free on-net minutes, valid for six months…
