Rogers Begins Training for BlackBerry Torch 9800 and Samsung Galaxy S Captivate

We heard that Rogers was going to be launching the BlackBerry Torch 9800 on September 24, and as you might expect, they’ve got some sales staff to train. More interesting than that though is Galaxy S Captivate training starting online as well, meaning we’ll likely see it in the next week or two, even though Rogers never confirmed any launch dates at their announcement.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 has a 5 megapixel camera with flash and autofocus, 3.2″ capacitive touchscreen, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G, and an upgraded operating system with new user interface and universal search. Scope out our review of the Torch for the full tour. The Samsung Galaxy S Captivate is a considerable notch above, having a 4″ Super AMOLED touchscreen, 1 GHz processor, 16 GB of internal storage, 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, and Android 2.1 with TouchWiz UI. The Captivate is great news because until now, Rogers’ top-liner Android phone was the Sony Ericsson X10, which is considered pretty out-of-date what with running Android 1.6. Take a look at our Captivate review if it’s something you’re thinking of picking up.
