The Weather Channel MAX for BlackBerry

Updated just the other day, The Weather Channel MAX for BlackBerry now packs quite a few new features that the regular user will enjoy. The latest version brings the app up to version 2.5… and below is a quick rundown of what’s new:

  • Animated radar maps are now on-board
  • New TruPoint technology provides detailed forecasts for the upcoming six hours accurate up to 2 kilometers, making it the most pinpointed, accurate weather information available.
  • Local video forecasts by The Weather Channel meteorologists
  • Home screen temperature with severe weather alert indicator now available

Handy features for sure. I’m actually quite interested to see how accurate and detailed the TruPoint forecasts are. Having detailed weather information for the next 6 hours of the day could be quite handy, I’m thinking. You can grab your copy for $4.99 via the App World link below.

For what it’s worth, a free version of the app available for your Berry too. You can check it out via the download link below. The big difference between the two versions? You’ll be hit with advertisements in the free version.

TWC apps are supported on all current-gen Berry devices, in all countries and carriers. If you try one of these apps out, be sure to let us know what you think.

iPhone users: The iOS enabled version of The Weather Channel app has been a huge hit. So much s0, that over 10 million downloads have already been recorded. If you’re on an iPhone and are looking for a very handy weather application… my advice would be to give it a look. Just like the version for BlackBerry, there’s a free and paid ‘MAX’ version. Try out the free, and pony up some cash if you dig… dig?
