We already know that Vodafone UK is picking up the refreshed BlackBerry 9780, but another glimpse at internal inventory shows that the charming white version will be available to Brits as well. The source doesn’t explicitly mention Vodafone, but considering the previous evidence and a few people I’ve talked to, that’s where I’m placing my bets. Hopefully the white’s not an exclusive, because a lot of people over here dig the white BlackBerrys.
The BlackBerry 9780 looks an awful lot like the original Bold 9700, but the real changes are under the hood. The camera is getting upgraded to 5 megapixels, the application memory bumped up to 512 MB, and it’ll be running the new BlackBerry 6 operating system out of the gate.
We’re presuming it will be available sometime next month in North America, but who knows how long it’ll take to get abroad; with any luck, RIM will have coordinated a simultaneous launch.
