Android, iPhone get new version of Grubhub appI like to cook but I can be quite a lazy man and love to just hit a few clicks on my keyboard to get some yummy food in my belly. Thank goodness that there’s Grubhub around to make that happen and the company has just released a beta version of its Android app and an update to its version for the Apple iPhone.

The service only works in about 13 cities but it does have some solid selection in those locations. I’ve used the San Francisco version to get some mighty tasty Indian food.

The GrubHub Android and iPhone app let you view and order food directly from you phone. It will utilize the phone’s GPS to find a nearby spot or you can just enter in your address. You don’t need to speak with anyone but there’s an option to call the restaurant.

“These new mobile apps make ordering food from anywhere that much easier… Mobile orders comprised 1 percent of our total revenue [in 2009]. With the growing popularity of our mobile apps, we project mobile orders will comprise 10 percent of GrubHub sales by the end of 2010,” said Grubhub CEOO Mike Evans in a prepared statement.

That could lead to some big money, but even if you don’t care about how the company does, I’d suggest trying out the app and seeing if it fits your needs.
