The team behind Nokia Mobile Communities keeps listening to the users and as a result they’ve launched another update to the social networking app. Here’s what the latest version brings:
- Ability to share the Nokia Mobile Communities app with your nearby buddies via Bluetooth.
- Full editing support that uses T9 and dictionary.
- Ability to flag abusive content – Nokia will eventually take appropriate action if several users feel the same way.
- Chat with Community Manager (ChatWithUs) that allows you to easily send your feedback about Nokia Mobile Communities.
- Updates from Community Manager (NokiaStream) – to get the latest news and tips on Nokia Mobile Communities.
- Improved categories that make Stream discovery easier and more relevant.
- More location entries
Then there are some less visible improvements including multiple distribution points (Ovi Store and GetJar) that would make Nokia Mobile Communities used by more people, improved SMS gateway and a number of (more than 100) bug fixes.
The bad news is that existing users will have to first remove the previous client versions and then install the new one. You will lose your old chat messages and stream posts, but the app will synchronize all your conversation groups and subscribed/created streams. If that’s not a big problem, hop over to nmc.nokia.com or SMS word “nmc” to 555550 to download Nokia Mobile Communities.
