Good news for our readers from the UK! Vodafone is now selling two of the hottest smartphones – Nokia N8 and HTC Desire HD, both of which are arguably best of their breed.
The N8 is the single most powerful Symbian device released to date, boasting a 12-megapixel camera, 3.5-inch nHD capacitive touchscreen and so on. The Big Red carrier is asking no money upfront for the smartphone as long as you commit on a 30 GBP a month 2-year contract, which includes 300 minutes and 500 MB of data.
As for the Desire HD, it’s also the best of its kind, featuring that super-large 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen along with an 8-megapixel camera, while the latest version of Android (2.2) is running the show. Being a more expensive device, Vodafone is bundling it with a 35 GBP per month 2-year contract that comes with 600 minutes and 500 MB of data. However, if you order online, the same amount of money buys you more minutes (900) and more data (750 MB) along with 5 MB of Europe-wide roaming. Again, the phone is offered for free on the mentioned contract.
Both the Nokia N8 and HTC Desire HD also come with tons of RAM and built-in storage, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and a microSD memory card slot…
