Classicly Creepy PC Game ‘The 7th Guest’ Releasing on iPhone This December

“Back for more? …..Hehehehehehe”

Halloween has finally come and gone, but that doesn’t mean there still isn’t a reason to be afraid of ghosts and paranormal activity at every turn. Now that one of the classics of old-school PC gaming “The 7th Guest” is making its way to the iPhone, you’ll soon be able to get your daily fix of horror and brain-teasers wherever you go.

The game’s original developer, Trilobyte Games, announced earlier this week they’ll be bringing its classic The 7th Guest game to the iPhone in early December for $3.99, which is a bargain when you consider The 7th Guest originally sold for $79.95 when it was first released in 1993. The 7th Guest won critical acclaim by both media and consumers and was the first ever game to be released on CD-ROM. You remember the CD-ROM, right? The thing before the Laserdisc, DVD, and Blu-Ray discs whose capacity was only between 650-900 MB? Yea, that CD-ROM.

Not only will The 7th Guest be available on the iPhone, but once it’s released on the App Store, Trilobyte Games will also release a re-engineered version of the game’s sequel, The 11th Hour. If you haven’t played either The 7th Guest or The 11th Hour, then this is the perfect opportunity to pick up these amazing games in your iPhone. The amount of thought that is required to complete the puzzles in either game makes today’s modern games look like a cake walk. And back in my day, we didn’t have websites like GameFaqs. If you didn’t solve a puzzle to a game, you either asked your friends who probably didn’t play it because they were out playing sports or kissing girls, or you just didn’t beat the game. We also had to walk 15 miles in snow with barefeet to pick up the latest games from retailers like Egghead Software or Electronic Boutique.

You kids and your iPhones and your MTZs sure got it made.
