Folks waiting to get their hands on a Verizon DROID PRO do not have much longer to wait. Verizon confirmed today that the DROID PRO will be available online starting tomorrow, November 9th. In store pre-orders will also begin on the 9th and the handset will hit the brick and mortar stores on November 18th. This type of staggered launch is not unusual for Verizon as the carrier often rolls out its handsets online first. An in store launch usually follows one to two weeks later.
The DROID PRO is an enterprise-oriented device that, with its portrait QWERTY keyboard, aims to compete with Verizon’s BlackBerry lineup. This global Android handset includes the following hardware and software features:

- GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 850/1900/2100, HSDPA 10.2 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps
- 1GHz processor

- Google applications including Google Maps with Navigation, Latitude, Street View and eCompass
- Android 2.2 with support for Adobe Flash 10.1

- 1420 mAh standard battery and a 1860 mAh extended battery
The DROID PRO will be available for $179.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement. We had some hands-on time with the DROID PRO early last month at CTIA.
