Although it’s already offered in the UK unlocked, Vodafone still has to add the HTC Desire Z to its portfolio. From what we’re hearing (actually seeing from a banner above), the QWERTY keyboard equipped device is set to hit the Big Red’s offering any time soon.
Users will be able to grab the Desire Z starting from free as long as they commit on a two-year agreement that involves a 30 GBP a month plan (or higher).
As you probably already know, the Desire Z is one of the most desired Android smartphones today, rocking a 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and HD video recording capability, GPS, 800MHz CPU and of course a microSD memory card slot.
Vodafone is already selling the Desire HD, the huge (it has a 4.3-inch display) powerhouse smartphone that was announced alongside its “Z brother” and which is also offered starting for free on some “not that cheap” contract…
