Jingle Networks’ 1-800-FREE411 announced that it is adding Dial Directions’ service to its offering. Under the deal between the two companies, 20 million people who at the moment use 1-800-FREE411 can ask for directions to any directory listing and receive it by SMS.
To use the new service, callers need only speak their starting address — i.e. “2594 Broadway” or “16th and Washington” — and receive turn-by-turn directions by text message within seconds. The service will be available in SF Bay Area, Chicago and Los Angeles starting March 1, with nationwide availability to follow a month later.
We’ve covered Dial Directions’ offering in the past – you can read our older posts about them from these two links.
