HTC has updated its Sync software for select Android smartphones, including myTouch 3G Slide, HTC EVO 4G, AT&T Aria, HTC Desire and Droid Incredible. There are few new things included in the version 3.0.5481 like:
- Support for “Group” syncs in Contacts
- Extend Calendar Sync period to 1 year
- Add “My favorite” item support for Contacts
To install this release, hop over to this page at HTC’s website and select a location closest to you to download HTC Sync to your PC. Run the application (filename “Setup_3.0.5481.exe”) and you’re almost there. Now you should connect your phone to the PC and when prompted to choose a type of USB connection, tap HTC Sync and then “Done.” HTC Sync will then recognize your phone and you will be able to set sync options, see the phone’s general information, check the used and available space on a storage card and begin synchronization.
In addition to syncing contacts and calendar, HTC Sync also allows users to install third-party Android apps, and bring photos, videos, documents, songs and playlists to their phone.
