Samsung is working on a special version of the Wave II for its own backyard. The model number SHW-M120S will most likely keep the original Wave II’s specs, while also adding T-DMB mobile TV capability, which is a must-have feature for any mid to high end phone in South Korea.
In other words, users should expect the same 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, 1GHz Hummingbird processor, Bluetooth 3.0 and a microSD memory card slot. Samsung’s own Bada OS is running the show, providing users with widget-friendly experience and quick access to key phone functions and social networking services like Facebook and Twitter. On the downside, though, there are no that many apps available for the relatively new platform. Hopefully, the upcoming Bada Developer Day in Seoul will entice some developers to jump on board. We’ll see where that goes… In the meantime, you may care to know Samsung will launch the Wave II just in time for Christmas shopping season.
