junaio 2.5 rocks an improved user interface

metaio launched a new version of its popular augmented reality browser – junaio. From what I can tell, the new version (2.5) rocks an improved user interface which should help folks explore their surroundings in an even easier fashion. For instance, junaio 2.5 allows users to add channels to favorites, review their personal channel history and there are also “Featured Picks.” In addition, the search function now allows keyword search by channel content as well as channel name, while the view screens have been simplified using unobtrusive buttons and icons in order to allow almost unrestricted content viewing.

metaio’s press release emphasizes junaio is the most advanced augmented reality browser on the market with support for indoor navigation, image recognition, object tracking and the ability to attach correctly scaled, interactive 3D displays onto objects. It has been used as part of print magazine campaigns by amNewYork and Connecticut Magazines, as well as the GSMA.

junaio is available for few platforms, including iOS, Android and Symbian…
