Presuming your child has an Android-powered smartphone and that you want to watch his SMS… there’s an app for that. It’s called SMS KidTracker and it comes from the same company (DPL Mobile) that made the controversial Secret SMS Replicator app. This application is basically the same, only this time the pitch is slightly differently.
Here’s what’s it all about:
SMS KidTracker utilizes backup and reroute technology, allowing parents to receive copies of their kids’ text messages. Parents can track the messages to make sure that nothing dangerous is getting sent to their kids’ phones. The app can be especially useful if parents are anxious about giving their child a phone for the first time.
The application is password protected so that children cannot deactivate it without the consent of their parents — i.e. not that easily…
So if you’re a concerned parent, search for “kidtracker” in the Android Market and take it from there. The price is $4.99.
