
Special K is launching a mobile application for the iOS and Android-powered devices. Available as a free download, myPlan offers people a new way to take the Special K Challenge and stay on track with weight loss goals, whether they [goals] include shedding unwanted holiday pounds or becoming more fit in the New Year. In that sense, the company is touting the application as a “great way to kick-start a new you.”
You get to design your unique weight management plan, access daily menus, track progress, receive helpful tips, find recipes and access Special K’s full suite of products. Moreover, there’s the option to share your progress and celebrate victories with friends on Facebook.
Finally, in addition to pitching websites to write about it, Special K plans to promote myPlan to consumers through localized events.
And in case you wonder, Special K developed the application with the help of global ad agency Leo Burnett, in partnership with premier U.S. mobile media agency MediaMob.
