Although we haven’t talked about Nokia Diagnostics when it was initially released, we decided to give it some space now when it’s updated. The application is now in version 1.74 and comes with “more extensive set of tests” to help Symbian S60 5.0 smartphone owners figure out what’s the problem with their device.
In addition to basic “check my phone” functions, there is also advanced mode included for hard core techie users, as well as an option to run all tests or all subcategory of tests.
Speaking of various tests, Nokia Diagnostics allows you to test vibrating alert, memory, battery charger, memory card, cameras (both main and front-facing one), keypad, screen, USB cable, web browser, network and data coverage, GPS, earpiece, microphone, loudspeaker and headset.
Before installing the application, Nokia recommends that your device runs the latest software — i.e. that it’s updated. If that’s on place, proceed to this page to download Nokia Diagnostics and take it from there…
