HTC EVO Shift 4G Spotted for $150 on Best Buy system

The HTC EVO Shift 4G for Sprint might be landing any day now as it has been spotted quite a few times this month alone, and it’s now appearing in Best Buy’s systems. The WiMax capable device is an Android handset that also has a physical QWERTY keyboard – a nice alternative to those who wanted a keyboard on an Android handset but decided to pass up on the pricey Samsung Epic 4G.

It looks like the EVO Shift 4G will be going for $150 at Best Buy with a new, two-year contract. For those wanting the device without a contract, it’s going to cost $550. Compared to the pricing for the original EVO and the Epic 4G, this isn’t bad at all. If you’ve been holding off on those devices to wait for what’s next in the WiMax smartphone family from Sprint, this isn’t a half bad way to go. After all, HTC makes some solid hardware and Android is getting more polished as time goes by.

No word on how much it will be for Sprint, but this is a pretty good indicator that it might go for the same price, or perhaps $199 with a two-year contract at most. The nice thing about picking up new phones from Best Buy, however, is that there is no need for those annoying mail-in-rebates.
