Orange announces eBay as partner

Orange has announced that it will integrate eBay on a range of it’s Singature devices – the first jointly-branded app it will have offered.

The app will allow Orange customers to manage bids, and also view new listings, via the Signature range homescreen. I imagine this is some kind of expanding widget, but details are scarce currently.

Orange says that going forward, the app will be expanded to offer even greater functionality – always a good way to keep customers interested!

Probably the bigger questions in my mind are whether these widget-style apps offer enough, and also the management of the increasingly complex app landscape on devices – harmony and simple UE are two areas often overlooked by “keen” marketeers! However, we can only give Orange the benefit of the doubt, and let’s see how this thing works when it gets out in the wild 🙂
