In a news item that won’t excite many, we talk about the low-end Nokia 1616 as it’s heading to T-Mobile USA. We don’t have this 100% confirmed but we do understand Engadget’s logic (which thinks between the same lines). So if everything goes as planned, the device that has just cleared the FCC will end-up in the carrier’s prepaid phone lineup. Considering “all of the features” the 1616 has, there’s a reason to believe this could be a new cheapest handset available from T-Mobile. At the moment, you could grab a phone for $30 but with phones like this that figure could go down to say $15 or $20. I can already hear seniors and tourists rejoicing…
