A company called Navigation Solutions, which is also a developer of the Hertz NeverLost Gen5 navigation unit, is “going iPhone” with a series of “My Explore” mobile applications. The first on the list is “My Explore Hawaii,” which provides tons of content on hundreds of attractions, beaches, excursions, and activities on the islands of Oahu, Kauai, Maui and Big Island.
Included in the mix are:
- Calendar of event listings for each island
- Augmented Reality view with audio output (very cool)
- Route listings from a current location to desired location by car, foot or public transportation
- Weather updates with three-day outlook
- The ability to share stuff with friends via Twitter, Facebook and Flickr, and
- NeverLost Quick Codes for entering into the NeverLost Gen5 for turn-by-turn directions to desired destination.
So if you’re travelling to Hawaii and could use an extra help while there, My Explore Hawaii may be the right app for you. The question is – are you willing to pour at 5 bucks to get it? If so, hit the link below and take it from there.
