If you’ve been looking for a way to minimize your carbon footprint, a company called IDAPT may have the right product for you. At the CES, they’ve unveiled the IDAPT i1 Eco dual universal charger, which is made of recycled materials with no chemical painting that meets Energy Star standards.
The new charger comes with auto-off capability, conserving energy when i1 Eco is not in use. As you would expect, it can be used both at home and in a car using the included car adapter.
There are two points of charge, a USB port and a tip port. The latter is said to be future-proof, allowing you to change tips based on the device you need to charge. Out of box, the IDAPT i1 Eco is compatible with over 4,000 different devices including iPad and iPhone as well as BlackBerry, Nintendo PSP, XBOX controllers, GPS systems and Bluetooth products.
The bad thing is that you still can’t have the IDAPT i1 Eco. The product will be available in Spring 2011 and in the meantime you can only see it in the North Hall, iLounge Pavilion, Booth #4216 at the CES in Las Vegas.
