Verizon is all about LTE at the CES. It’s not just the devices they are talking about, but also apps and services that take advantage of faster speeds.
To support the growing number of apps, services and devices that will be launched at its network, the carrier has teamed-up with Bug Labs to bring their Bug System platform to the eco-system and allow product developers and software engineers to affordably prototype and build solutions that sing along LTE.
If you’re like me and have no clue what Bug Labs’ offering is all about, here’s a snippet from the press release doing all of the explaining on my behalf:
Bug Labs’ products and services are designed to give companies the tools and support needed to prototype, pilot and produce innovative networked devices with ease. The company’s Bug System consists of hardware and software solutions that can be readily combined and re-configured to enable immediate product experimentation and device prototyping. As a result, enterprise users are able to significantly reduce the timelines and costs associated with bringing a custom wireless device to market.
So what this means for end-users? Few things – better apps and services, more advanced devices and all other things that actually make sense with LTE. 😉
