Crunch Fitness is going for the Android and iOS device owners. The new application, available as a free download, allows members to check-in, retrieve location and class information, set preferences, redeem specials and stay connected with the Crunch community.

Using a built-in GPS receiver, the Crunch app enables searching for locations and group fitness classes with the ability to filter by specific gym amenities and programs. Members can check-in using bar code and then shout it out to their Foursquare, Facebook and Twitter accounts to alert friends. Moreover, there’s an option to connect to Google Maps, Yelp and Crunch’s social media, blog and event pages. Finally, special discounts and offers are also included, such as the ability to send guest passes to friends.

Headquartered in New York City, Crunch Fitness serves over 70,000 members with 24 gyms in New York, Miami, San Francisco/Bay Area and Los Angeles, and the goal is to expand across the U.S. and around the globe.
