Emblaze Else UX engineer now at HP Palm

You gotta remember Emblaze, the company behind that cool looking Else UI we’ve seen a year ago. At that point they promised to revolutionize the mobile experience, allowing for one-hand use of touchscreen devices. Not that something like that was not already possibly, but they took an extra effort to make it as convenient as possible.

Unfortunately, even after announcing deals with Sharp and ACCESS nothing spectacular happened. We’ve no idea what went wrong but are glad to learn that Itai Vonshak, one of the main engineers of Else’s UI, has stayed in the field. He’s working at “UX strategy” at HP Palm, according to LinkedIn, most likely helping make webOS look and feel better.

Unsurprisingly specifics are unknown at this stage, but we do look forward to see what Vonshak and the rest of the Palm crew has come up with for HP’s webOS event on February 9th. Can’t wait. 😉
