Google’s official blogging platform, Blogger, now has an Android app which lets you post, upload pictures, and share your location to your own little corner of the internets. There’s support for multiple accounts and blogs, for those particularly prolific bloggers, and saving local drafts if you need to do some reviewing later on. As you might expect with the two being Google properties, Blogger integrates tightly with the Android experience, being visible in the Share menu in the native Gallery or Browser apps. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like there’s any comment approval system or metrics, but all in due time, I’m sure.
I may be biased since it’s what we use here at IntoMobile, but WordPress is the most popular blogging platform out there right now, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of room for options. It can be a little high-maintenance, which has made simpler blogging platforms like Tumblr popular, but for those deeply-invested in the Google ecosystem (and odds of that are good if you own an Android phone), then Blogger’s probably a good choice.
Though they aren’t available yet, I would imagine some official clients for iPhone and BlackBerry will be coming down the pipe soon enough. To get your blog on, hit up the Android Market.
