It was back in November 2010 when Nokia officially announced the X2-01 alongside the C2-01. At that point it was pretty obvious that baby will sell like hot cupcakes in the emerging markets of the world, where people rely heavily on SMS and would appreciate X2-01’s QWERTY keyboard.
And it has just hit India, where interested users can grab it for 4,459 INR, which is about $98, from one of many authorized Nokia dealers across the country. Again with that price, we have no trouble envisioning Nokia moving tons of units.
Aside from the mentioned QWERTY keyboard, the X2-01 also comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, EDGE data, VGA camera, 3.5mm headset jack, FM radio, Bluetooth, Ovi Mail, media player, web browser and a memory card slot. It is/will be available in few colors, including black, white, red, pink and blue. And after India, the Finnish company will most likely bring it to other parts of the world…
