Remember when we got word that T-Mobile would be offering up a new unlimited plan for Even More Plus users for only $60? Well, apparently Magenta pulled the plug on the plan at the last-minute and only offered a new unlimited plan for Even More users.
Turns out that the unlimited Even More Plus plan was canceled right before it was due to launch. Why it got the nix is up for debate, but something tells me that it could have just been too good of a deal. Priced at $60, the now dead unlimited plan would give users all the benefits of the Even More plan, but at a better rate. Many people were looking forward to the revival of the popular, off-contract plan, but it looks like T-Mobile may have buried it for good this time around.
Sure, there are probably many people who are upset that the plan never graced our presence, but had the leaked document never surfaced, we wouldn’t have known any different. We can’t imagine T-Mobile’s reaction to seeing details of this DOA rate plan leaked out to the world, presumably after it decided to pull the plug on the new offering. Nonetheless, if you’re currently on the Even More Plus plan for T-Mobile, you should still be satisfied in knowing that you have one of the best deals available in the country, regional carriers notwithstanding.
As long as this plan exists, I will forever laugh at the amount of money that goes to other carriers that can’t even come close to 500 minutes, and unlimited text and data for $60. Sure, T-Mobile is the smallest of the four major carries, has a 4G network that’s essentially upgraded 3G, and doesn’t have the best coverage. That considered, I’ve never received a drop call in four years (unless I was talking to an AT&T customer), the plans are dirt cheap, you can finance phones, and T-Mobile has the best customer service. Period.
I love you T-Mobile, even if you completely sold out.
