Localytics, the company that provides mobile app analytics solutions we’ve already talked about in the past, announced the closing of Series A funding in an oversubscribed financing round led by existing investors Launchpad Venture Group and New York Angels, and with Hub Angels as a new investor. The new money will be used to increase sales capacity for its existing business serving enterprise-level customers, and to expand to mid-market publishers.

Localytics’ Enterprise offering already helps the largest mobile app publishers provide more successful apps to over 50 million end users. On the other end of the spectrum is Localytics Premium, which brings many of the features that Localytics Enterprise subscribers enjoy — including real-time information, dynamic analysis and actionable insights — to smaller publishers. In terms of supported platforms, Localytics Premium supports Android, BlackBerry, iPad, iPhone and Windows Phone 7 applications and is available for $95 per month.

Commenting on the news, Localytics’ CEO Raj Aggarwal said: “The need for mobile app analytics is exploding, fueled by continued growth in smartphones and the huge impact of Apple’s iPad, Samsung’s Galaxy and other tablets. This new financing will enable us to better meet that demand, as well as expand our product portfolio to meet the needs of the mid-market.”
