iGO primo Europe edition

NNG has started revamping its iGO iPhone navigation apps with iGO Europe edition first getting the so called “primo” update. Available as a free software update to existing iGO Europe edition users, the application works on a completely made-over engine and delivers over 100 new features and enhancements, including a brand new UI.

Among the features included in this release, we highlight:

  • Google local search
  • Advanced Text-to-Speech (TTS Pro)
  • Green routing for lower CO2 emissions
  • Real junction views in 3D
  • 3D digital terrain
  • Driver Alerts replicating road signs
  • Historical Speed data for faster routes

Moreover, there are other premium features such as 3D city models, Live Traffic service, Premium POIs and Premium voices, which can be added through in-app purchase.

Commenting on the news, NNG’s interim CEO Péter Balogh said: “Our flagship navigation software, iGO primo, already powers millions of Personal Navigation Devices and automotive units worldwide. By popular demand we’re now bringing the performance, speed and stability of this product to the iPhone and are confident that our success with this next-generation navigation product will continue in iTunes.”

Finally, after the Europe edition, NNG will release updates for 24 more iGO editions covering over 70 countries worldwide…
