Good news if you own the Samsung Galaxy Ace. Apparently you will be able to update your device to the latest version of Android OS. Honestly I thought Ace won’t get this update — considering it’s a mid-range device that doesn’t have a 1Ghz CPU — but it seems I was wrong.
The Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM has been leaked thanks to TSAR3000.com. SamFirmware later on confirmed this is the real deal, though it [firmware] is made to sing along European version of the Ace (S5830).
You can download the firmware ROM from here but after that you’re on your own. We can’t help you out more than that — you’ll have to find ways to update the device for yourself. Alternatively, you can wait for Samsung to release the update through official channels. It’s your call…
