If you’ve recently purchased an iPhone 3G, or upgraded your original iPhone to the iPhone 2.0 OS, you’ll probably already have logged in some serious time with the AppStore and all the new features (like improved web surfing) that make the iPhone 2.0 OS so much more usable than previous versions. You’re also likely well aware of the new iPhone OS’s tendency to bog down and lag every once in a while. Sure, it can get annoying, but what are you going to do?
Well, in case you haven’t yet noticed, Apple has seeded the latest version of the iPhone OS through iTunes. iPhone 2.0.1 OS, as it’s known, seems to improve the iPhone’s stability and speed. The new firmware is a hefty 250MB download so set aside a good chunk of time to download and install the sucker.
We’ll see how the iPhone 2.0.1 OS treats us in the long run. Anyone else noticing a stability or speed improvement?
