A company called DigiMo wants a share of the ever-growing mobile payments market. Hence they’ve launched their own platform, touting it as the “first true mobile payment solution” that requires no hardware or software modification at either the Point-Of-Sale (POS) or mobile device (works with any feature phone).

Available for immediate deployment worldwide, DigiMo’s platform only requires users to register for the service online (supply their preferred billing method and phone number), receive a PIN, and they’re good to go.

The service is designed primarily for online giants, credit card companies and mobile operators who want to launch a wide-scale mobile payment service at multiple retailers without requiring POS integration at each one.”

Speaking of integration, the solution is said to sing along customer loyalty programs, coupons and “interactive discounts” (whatever they are).

Telcos, credit card companies, and financial institutions can white label DigiMo as a value-added service and let DigiMo do all the work in the background, addressing all aspects of payment security such as end-user privacy, non-repudiation and administrative privileges…
