MAD Maps is launching the Harley-Davidson Map app for the iPhone users, offering 975 of the best scenic rides for motorcyclists in the United States. The idea is to take riders off the interstates and onto two-lane ribbons of pavement.
For instance, there’s the canyon tour, which takes motorcyclists through the canyons of South Dakota’s Black Hills, and is thus ideal for anyone traveling to Sturgis. Another good example is the tour called “To Big Sur, With Love” which goes through the California Coast and suggests stopping for lunch and an awe-inspiring view at Nepenthe.
MAD Maps developed its maps with the help of local riders who know the back roads as well as the cool stops along the way, from natural wonders to rock ‘n’ roll roadhouses.
Aside from the maps part, the application also enables users to easily find the nearest Harley-Davidson dealership in case they want to stop while on the road. Moreover, there’s the Best Western hotels locator, allowing riders to take advantage of the chain’s discounted Harley-Davidson rate and Rider-Friendly hotel program. Riders can also sign up for Best Western Ride Rewards, a rewards program for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts…
