OpenTable hits 10 million diners seated milestone

We’ve already reported about OpenTable’s milestones in the past. Back in May 2010, they announced hitting 3 million diners seated and then in November that figure jumped to 5 million. Now they announced seating its 10 millionth cumulative diner via OpenTable mobile products, who [diners] spent an estimated $400 million at partner restaurants!

OpenTable’s press release goes on suggesting its mobile products (apps and a mobile website) accounted for 11.5% of all diners seated via OpenTable in North America during Q1 2011. The company allows diners to find and book reservations at more than 20,000 different restaurants in multiple countries from the web, a smartphone or an iPad. Its mobile application is available for multiple platforms — including Android, Blackberry, iOS, Nokia Symbian, Palm webOS and Windows Mobile — offering diners the ability to use geo-location feature to identify restaurants near them. Additionally, mobile users also have an option to use OpenTable’s “optimized for mobile” website…
