After the iPhone app, the peer-to-peer commerce service Zaarly is launching a mobile application for the Android community. Available as a free download, it allows users to browse for jobs (so called Zaarlys) and sign-up for them while on the go. Moreover, thanks to the “My Activity Tab” you can track all past, pending and completed Zaarlys. Messaging also comes built-in, enabling you to keep in touch with the job providers and contact them either as a registered user or anonymously.
Then there’s the location element for checking out nearby jobs, as well as the option to sign-up for the service within the app.
The official “we got ourselves an Android app” press release goes on suggesting that in its first 30 days, Zaarly facilitated more than $1 million in listings, everything from requesting a wedding singer to building a custom tree house to designing a website, as well as the chance to ride in a sports car. Professional services — such house cleaning, car repair, landscaping, and interior design — are among the most popular Zaarly requests…
