Sony Ericsson Xperia Active now available for pre-ordering in the UK for 229.99 GBP

If you’re one of those folks living an “active” lifestyle, you may like Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Active smartphone. The device is specially made to allow users to quickly track their outdoor activities such as running, biking and so on. In that sense, it comes with a number of pre-installed apps, as well as sensors needed to actually track stuff (i.e. accelerometer, GPS, compass and barometer).

Now we have one British phone retailer allowing interested users to pre-order their Xperia Active unit. That retailer is Play.com, which asks 229.99 GBP for the unlocked device, which then can be used with any mobile operator in the UK. Play.com lists September 9 as the release date, meaning that you’ll still have to wait for more than a month to try out Active’s tracking capabilities. If that’s not a problem for you, hit this link to make sure you’re among the first ones with a truly “mobile active” lifestyle. 😉
